An aerial torpedo, airborne torpedo or air-dropped torpedo is a naval weapon, a torpedo, that an aircraft—fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter—drops in the water, after which the weapon propels itself to the target. First used in World War I, air-dropped torpedoes were used extensively in World War II, and remain in limited torpedoes are generally smaller and lighter than submarine. Airborne Data Services: The CessnaCam Sensor Pod is an FAA approved portable enclosure providing cubic inches of sensor space with an optical port on the bottom allowing the user to mount vertical and oblique cameras, lidars, scanners, or many other sensor systems on unmodified Cessna aircraft. more. Removable, Needs no A/C Modification.

Welcome to AirBorne Australia Ultralight Aircraft Specialists. Airborne specialise in the design and manufacture of ultralights (also called, microlights, trikes ultralight trikes and flexwing microlights, nanolights, nanolite), sport planes and hang gliders, for the serious adventure aviation enthusiast. All Radio Control (RC) Helicopters Our complete catalog of radio-controlled (RC) helicopters allows for aerial hobbyists of all ages and from all backgrounds of experience to get into the air with minimal hassle. Regardless of whether you’re considering a beginner RC model helicopter or a /5(74).

The XVIII Airborne Corps maintains a strategic response force capability to deploy on short notice anywhere in the world by land, air, or sea, to conduct full-spectrum operations as an Army, joint, or combined headquarters. If required, conducts joint forcible entry operations and provides operational command and control during contingency operations. We also use a new airmass algorithm that validates the algorithm we previously used to within 2% for SZA.

Airborne sun photometry has thus far seen limited use and has not been used with a helicopter platform. The hardware, software, calibration and deployment of an automatic sun-tracking sunphotometer specifically designed for use on a helicopter are described.

The use of airborne sunphotometers and radiometrically calibrated sensors with fixed wing remote sensing platforms is a reliable method for obtaining atmospherically corrected surface reflectance.

Frankly speaking, after having received "Helicopter Pilot's Handbook Of Mountain Flying & Advanced Techniques",I underestimated the value of the book, due to size,i.e. 96 the book prooved its value by reminding me its are many advices for pilots who are earning their lives over mountainous terrain/5(8).

As someone training to become a helicopter pilot, I found this exam book so helpful. Just be sure to have your instructor map out what chapters you need to read. In some cases, you don't need to learn everything for specific exams. Other then that, the book is awesome and a great study guide to use /5(10).

[1] Analyses of aerosol optical depth (AOD) and columnar water vapor (CWV) measurements obtained with the six‐channel NASA Ames Airborne Tracking Sunphotometer (AATS‐6) mounted on a twin‐engine aircraft during the summer Puerto Rico Dust Experiment are presented.

Water vapor measurements by sun photometry using the nm water vapor absorption band have been compared to in situ and other remote (e.g., microwave) measurements in several previous publications (e.g., Schmid et al., a, b, ; Redemann et al. ; Livingston et al., ).Those comparisons were all restricted to sun photometer altitudes Cited by: 4.
